Steam Wars: Steampunk Star Wars

In the world of custom action figures, Sillof is an expert at creating original characters. He has just recently given us his "Steampunk Star Wars" line. Steampunk, for those of you who don't know what it is, is a genre of science-fiction, usually set in Victorian Britain, that uses steam-powered technology. Films, books, and comics such as The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, The Difference Engine, The Wild Wild West, and Steamboy have made it sort-of famous. Raiders of the Lost Brick?

Here's a video I found on the blog the Brothers Brick. These guys used 5 million Lego Bricks to create a mock-up of one of the most famous scense in movie history from Indiana Jones.

New Coldplay single-Violet Hill

So in case you haven't heard, the band Coldplay is releasing a new album called Viva La Vida or Death and all his friends. (I'm counting down the days since it is released) The released a new single, Violet Hill, prior to the release of the album. The song is really good.



I'm not so much of a fan of the video as I am of the song. It has a little less falsetto and pop sound to and a little more crunch. It sounds a little bit like Queen in some parts and Pink Floyd in others. I've listened to Lost! and Viva La Vida of off the CD but they aren't as good as Violet Hill. Hopefully there will be more songs by Coldplay like this in the future. I have high expectations for this album.

This widget is awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Okay so I was looking around on Wired Blogs (for those of you who don't know what Wired is, it's the uber geek magazine) when I came across this. It is three songs from Guitar Hero 3 on seperate difficulties on an embedabble widget. I've already played each song about 100 times.



Since my PC is my only gaming system and my only friend who owns all the Guitar Hero games recently sold them all, this is my escape to Guitar Hero. And yes even though I'm good at Guitar Hero, I can play the guitar pretty good and happen to be in my own band. (I'm the lead singer and I sometimes play keyboard and guitar while I'm singing)

Okay. So Weezer, which is an awesome 90s band just released a new song called "Pork and Beans". Weezer is one of my favorite bands and I believe this is one of their best songs. The video has appearences of some of our favorite YouTube stars from Ryan vs. Dorkman to Gary Brosma. Here it is. Enjoy



This song has become one of my favorites quickly and is one of my theme songs along with Unwell by Matchbox 20 and Bill Gates Must Die by John Vanderslice. And yes, I eat candy with pork and beans.

Hello World

Today is a day for joyous celebration for it is the last day of school and the beginning of my blog. I have another blog to but it is limited to what I can do on it so I started this one. My name is Nathan or Thrallgor or Master Saurkon or finally Lil' Banshee. Yes I am a geek but I am proud of it but I am also a rocker. So you could call me Geek-Nerd-Rocker-Cyclist-Musician-Artist-Writer-Filmmaker-Superpowered-Man. I am all of those things in one. I may appear geeky but I am wicked cool. Even insanely cool. I'm the coolest person on the face of the planet. So that's me summed up in a paragraph.
